Cute Little Red Rubber Boots

When I saw this cute little Rain, Rain Go Away set from The Cutting Cafe I just had to use those cute little boots. Of course they had to be red. I wasn't sure about the color combination at first as I wouldn't normally use red and yellow together but it is growing on me. I added a little Bermuda Bay to off set the color combo. Since I've been playing around with Crystal Effects lately I think I'll add it to the puddle of water to finish off the card. Head on over to the Cafe to see what other images and sentiments come with the set. Reasonably priced as always.

3-D Pixie Challenge

Are you ready for another fun challenge? The gals at Pixie Dust Studio have a challenge for you. This time around we are asking that you make a 3-D project. It can be an altered tin, notebook or whatever you can think of. If you need some inspiration just head on over to the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Blog and take a gander. You'll find Mr. Linky there as well. I thought I'd share a sneak peek of the new Wild Flowers collection that will be released on Feb. 4th. I think it's my favorite one so far *LOL* For my 3-D project I decorated a cocoa tin Safari style and made a little card/bag topper for Safari Snack Mix. Can you imagine how cute a Safari birthday party would be? I am thinking about making Birthday tags next.

Stamps: Pixie Dust Studio -Wild Flowers Collection, The Greeting Farm - Ever Glen digital kit (word SAFARI)
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, White, Sassafras Lass - Jungle Bungle: i {heart} papers
Accessories: Copics, Chocolate Ribbon, SU Circle and Scallop Punch, Square Punch, SU Orange Striped Ribbon, Aluminum Tin, Dimensionals

What's one more friggin' candle?

Here's a fun card with the free digital image I downloaded from Bugaboo Stamps. The image is from the Stella collection and is called One More Candle. Lots of cute Stella images to choose from as well as a great variety of other images. It's a good thing I'm on a spending freeze because I think I'd go a little crazy with all the fun images. OK it's really not a good thing because I just have to have some of those images *LOL* Luckily Jodie offers an image for Freebie Friday's. I do have that to look forward too.

I even decorated the inside of the card. I added a Happy Birthday Sentiment as well. Too bad you can't see all the Crystal Effects.

Stamps: Bugaboo -Stella Collection: One more candle
Paper: Basic Black, Pink Passion, White, The Paper Studio DP
Accessories: Copics, Crystal Effects, Misc. Rub Ons, Nestabililites, SU Grosgrain Ribbon, Paper Shapers Circle Punch, White Gel Pen, Dimensionals

Fred She Said Challenge

This week's Fred She Said Challenge was a tough one for me. The challenge is to get inspiration from the colors and patterns of the FSS Challenge Blog which means purple, yellow, green and stripes. Colors I don't use very often. I had to dig in the scrap bin to find SU designer paper scraps. That and I had less than 30 minutes from start to finish to make the card. The kids were sick all week, one at a time of course, so I'm running a bit behind...more than usual *LOL* I used the Empty Pockets Shrugger set and thought it would be fun to combine the boy and the girl digi's on the same card. What can you win by joining in on all the fun? How about $20 CAD money for the FSS store.

Paper: Lavendar Lace, Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, White, SU DP
Accessories: Copics, Dimensionals, Pearl Pin, Butterfly Charm, SU Polka Dot Ribbon

Try Not to Hug a Snowman too Tight...

I'm finally participating in Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge. This week's challenge is No Coloring! You can use different colored ink pads, but no coloring "in". That means no markers, colored pencils, chalks, etc. I ended up using a pre-colored image: Emma the Hugger from Fred She Said. I thought I was pretty clever with this one. If you'd rather color the image in yourself rather than a pre-colored one....no need to worry...you can purchase one or both. The pre-colored version is great for a card or too but even better when you are making several cards. BTW the inside of the card say's "He could melt." I just love when sentiments are included with images.

Stamps: Fred She Said -Emma the Hugger
Paper: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, White, Basic Grey -Eskimo Kisses DP
Accessories: Nestabilities, SU Striped Ribbon, Misc. Snowflakes, Dimensionals
