Celebrate!!

I only make a handful of New Year's Day projects so one of the things I do to get more use out of a seasonal set is to look to the basics of the set.

I look to see if the images and/or sentiments can be used throughout the year. Today's project shows you just that. The sentiment image is from the It's New Year Time printable set from The Cutting Cafe.

I used the sentiments that I associate with birthday celebrations so I covered up the words Clock and New Years with my image and simply cut off the bottom sentiments Toast and Resolutions. It was just that easy.

There are a lot of words that can be used as single sentiments in this printable set. Colored versions are also included with this set. I've included a sample of what comes in the set below. The full version can be seen HERE.

Yuki

This isn't the typical Christmas Eve project but it is the only thing that is ready to post. I used the Yuki image from InStyle stamps. I dug in my scrap pile and chose fun bright colors. She's anime she can take it. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!

Digital Tuesday Challenge

It just dawned on me that today is Tuesday. This week's theme is Winter Wonderland.

We have another great sponsor: Robyn's Fetish. The prize that is up for grabs this week is
giving away a 5 or 4 digital stamps and a digital paper pack to one luck winner chosen at random.

Be sure to stop by the Robyn's Fetish blog to see what fabulous images you can win or purchase.

Don't forget to use a digital element on your card and to link it to the Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog in order to be in the running.

For my card I used a Robyn's Fetish image called "Home for the Holidays." Isn't it adorable?

This week's Digital Tuesday Challenge is called Christmas Time. Now that Thanksgiving is approaching its time to start thinking about those Christmas cards you'll need to get started on.

The sponsor this week is My Grafico. Feel free to stop by the My Grafico shop to see what is new in store. They have a HUGE variety of digi's to choose from and some freebies too. Remember to use a digital element on your project.

I decided to make a Christmas gift tag for my project. I used one of my favorite Christmas images from Pixie Dust Studio. It's called Santa Surprise. Of course there are some new images that are just as adorable. I only took a quick look because I don't need the temptation right now *LOL*

Monster Mash Card

Here's the full version of the monster mash card that I posted the sneak peek card of. For some reason I can't seem to capture a good photo. That is the reason it has taken so long to actually post it.

It was also a great way to use up some scraps that I had laying around. For the images I used The Little Monster Gang set and the Monster Love Background set. Both are available at The Cutting Cafe.

And here is the full card:

Case it Tuesday Challenge

I thought I'd share a card that I made last night for The Cutting Cafe's CASE it Tuesday Challenge. This week's card had such a fun design I thought I'd give it a try. It also gave me a reason to use a set that I've gotten around to using until now. Aren't they adorable?

You don't have to use a set from The Cutting Cafe to take part in the challenge I used the Everyday Elisha Jean and Friends printable set from The Cutting Cafe.

There are even some sets that I didn't know about with the girls holding a balloon, a heart, a berry, a basket, etc. See below if you want to see the card that I CASED. Mine is very different. I through in little Halloween skull paper on mine since the inspiration card was Halloween themed. Here's Kelly's card:

I also wanted to mention that I haven't forgotten about my Monster Mash card using halloween sets from The Cutting Cafe. My sneak peek can be found HERE. I forgot to take pictures of the finished card but will soon.

Digital Tuesday Challenge

This week's Digital Tuesday Challenge is a color challenge.

We are asking you to use a Blue and White color combination for your project. As always you need to incorporate at least one digital element, whether its a sentiment, image, digital paper, etc.

This week's sponsor is Di's Digital Downloads. They have a great selection of images to choose from. For a limited time there is an adorable bear in a pumpkin image that is Free.

For my project this week I used the image called For Me. It can be found in the For the Girls section of the store. Isn't she the cutest? I hope to see your entry in this week's contest.

Monster Mash - Sneak Peek

Who says monster's can't be cute?

Most of you know that Halloween is my favorite holiday. So you know I couldn't resist these printables from The Cutting Cafe. The monster images seen below are from the set called Little Monster Gang. It comes with 3 different birthday sentiments so all you have to do is print, cut and color.

You can't see by the picture but I paired these little cuties with the Monster Love Background set. Oh how I love Halloween. Normally I don't post sneak peeks but I was having trouble getting a good picture of the entire card and I couldn't wait to show you how cute these little guys are.

I'll post the finished card soon. I hope you've enjoyed the sneak peek.

Digital Tuesday Challenge

Wow! Another week has flown by. What does that mean, well it means its time for a new challenge. This week's Digital Tuesday Challenge is for the people. People images, that is. I know you have one, the hardest part is going to be narrowing it down. Feeling adventurous? Use more than 1 image.

This week's sponsor is Guylou Inimitabilites. If you aren't familiar with their digi's head on over to their site to take a peek. You can also see what some of the DT members have made with them for this week's challenge by going to the challenge blog. They have lots of people images to choose from.

I ended up using a fairy image that I stumbled upon while surfing the net. I believe it was a coloring page originally but that didn't stop me from using it. I hope you are able to join in on this week's challenge.

Here's a close-up of the fairy image:

A little late

It's time for the Digital Tuesday Challenge. With the long holiday I guess I lost track of the date. This week's challenge is called "Fairy Wishes".

The sponsor this week is Mo's Digital Pencil. If you haven't heard of Mo's Digital Pencil then you are really missing out on some fabulous digi's. Her designs are very detailed and artistic.

The prize this week is a very special one. There will be 3 winners this week and each winner will win a gift code worth $5. So if you have been thinking of joining in on the fun this is the week. Three prizes are up for grabs. Need a little motivation? Head on over to Mo's Digital Pencil and take a look at the images to see just what you would choose if you won.

Since my supplies are still packed in totes for awhile longer I was only able to grab the most minimal supplies, hence the simplistic card. Don't worry my embellishments will soon make an appearance.

First onto the challenge. This week's challenge is called Under the sea. We are asking you to create a card/project using the color blue. I used one of the newest images for my card this week. I went for the bright, bright colors this week so put on your shades and dive into summer.

Egg Hunt Release

Can you believe its time for another Pixie Dust Studio release? The collection is called Egg Hunt and it is an adorable set. Perfect for Easter.

I made about 300 mini cupcakes for my daughter's class. I cheated a bit and used box cake mixes and frosting in the can but still love how they turned out. I made three different kinds (strawberry, chocolate and yellow). Here's a picture of the strawberry mini's with sprinkles:

I thought it would be fun to make a cupcake topper so I printed out the Critter cupcakes image but only used the bunny portion of the image. I attached it to a lollipop stick and inserted it into the cupcake. How fun is that?

Here's a close-up of the image:

Don't forget that today is the beginning of the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge. It's called "Lace it up" so we are asking you to use lace on your project this week. Here's what comes in the Egg Hunt collection:

Digital Tuesday Challenge

Time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge. This week's theme is called "Easter Parade". It's up to you on just how you interpret the theme this week. It can be an Easter image, Easter Colors, Easter Paper, you decide. Just remember to use a digital element to your project.

Our sponsor this week is Pixie Dust Studio and they are giving away 2 free digi's to the winner. Lot's of fun images to choose from, including the one I used below. I thought it would be fun to make an Easter basket using a treat bag and Stampin Up's Top Note Die. It was super easy to make.

The bunny image is from Pixie Dust Studio and is called Some Bunny Loves You. The "Got eggs" sentiment is from the Easter Set 3 from The Cutting Cafe.

A royal princess

What's the buzz about? A royal wedding of course. That and the latest Pixie Dust Studio release. It's called British Invasion and it is adorable.

They say its all about the dress so I decided to use only the bride portion of the image. I used Crystal Effects and dazzling diamonds glitter to give it more of a glam look. It really is quite lovely up close. The image is called Royal Wedding and it can be found HERE!

I am trying to use my Cricut more so I used the Paisley cartridge to cut out the flowers. What's a wedding without flowers, right?

Here's a close up of the dress:

For the kids

It's Tuesday! It's Tuesday! OK not quite Friday but we are one day closer.

This week's Digital Tuesday Challenge is all about the kids. All you have to do is make a card for a kid. It's just that easy.

This week's sponsor is My Grafico and they are offering a digi stamp set and20% off a store order to the winner this week. Lots and lots of sets to choose from so be sure to check them out.

For my project this week I chose an adorable Pixie Dust Studio image. It was a great excuse to make a boy themed card. Besides I fell in love with the designer paper....especially since it was in the clearance section. How could I refuse?

I hope you take the Digital Tuesday Challenge this week.

Eat Me, Drink Me

This week's Pixie Dust Studio Challenge is a fun one. I know I always say that but really its true. The challenge is called

"Lets go to the movies"

It is time to put your thinking caps and to make a project that is movie inspired. It can be an image, color combo, you name it. You can play it safe or think outside the box. Either way I hope you join in on the fun this week. I can't wait to see what you
can do. Be sure to head on over to the Challenge Blog to see what the DT came up with this week.

Since I recently watched the Johnny Depp version of Alice in Wonderland I thought I'd take the easy way out and chose that movie to work with.

My first project is a pillow box treat box. I used the Alice image from Pixie Dust Studio. It is part of the Down the Rabbit Hole release.

I created a tea bag holder for my second project. I used the Mad Hatter image called touch of Depp also from the Down the Rabbit Hole collection.

Here's a close-up of the tea bag holder:

And here's a picture of both projects together:

Happy Happy Tuesday!! Sorry for the delay, my post didn't work as scheduled this morning. We have a great challenge for you this week at the Digital Tuesday Challenge blog and a wonderful sponsor as well.

First let me tell you a little about the challenge. This week's theme is called
"Button up"

Use up some of those buttons you know you have and if you don't have any buttons *gasp* make some. Just remember to use a digital element.

This week's sponsor is The Stamping Boutique and they are offering 5 digital images to the winner of the challenge this week.

From me to you

As you can see I'm back into the bright colors. I just love red and black together. I haven't made any shaped cards lately so I thought it would be fun to make a ribbon shaped card instead of my usual 4.25 X 5.5 inch cards.

I
used the Ribbon Sentiments and Banner set and Shaped Card set from The Cutting Cafe. I printed the ribbon shaped card template on white cardstock and cut along the lines. The two circle sentiments are from the 1 inch Everyday Sentiments set also from the Cutting Cafe.

The large layered flower was made with my Cricut (The cartridge is called Paisley).

Go Green! and a freebie alert!

"Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This week's Pixie Dust Studio Challenge is: LET'S GO GREEN!

Interpret "green" as you like: create a monochromatic green card, recycle something for your card/project or just use something green. As you can see I took green literally and don't think I could have gone any greener.

I decided to create a multi image card for this challenge. I combined three different Pixie images : February Pixie, March Pixie and August Pixie. They can be found in the shop under the Pixie of the Month section HERE!

Don't forget to head on over to the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Blog to see some fabulous DT inspiration. That's also where you'll find the place to link up your "Go Green" project. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

FREE IMAGE ALERT:

I also wanted to let you know that Kathy is generously giving away a free image. It's called Sweet Japanese Princess and she is adorable. Head on over to the Pixie Dust Studio blog HERE to grab it while you can.

Some Odd Girl Challenge

It's been awhile since I made a card using a Some Odd Girl
image. Their images are just my style - cute and sweet.

I made this card for the Some Odd Girl Challenge. The challenge theme is "Think Spring."

I don't know about you but I am definitely ready for warmer weather and sunshine. I decided to use the Sunny Tia image for my card. She is part of the March 1st release. Isn't she adorable in her orange and green outfit?

I created the background paper by printing the Clock Background from The Cutting Cafe on Kraft paper. I'm glad I decided to print it out on a full sheet of cardstock because it is a lot more versatile than I first thought.

Here's how the card ended up:

I used a circle punch and punched out one of the clock faces to add a little dimension to the background. It's hard to see on the picture but it looks really neat IRL (In real life).

What big eyes you have

I hope you are enjoying the Pixie Dust Studio Blog Hop.

If you came here from Cat's blog then you are in the right place and have already seen her incredible project. If not you may want to head on over to the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge blog to start the hop. This is one hop that you don't want to miss.

The theme of the hop is The Cape. It is the latest Pixie Dust Studio release. It is based on the upcoming movie Little Red Riding Hood. In order to be eligible to win the entire release you must leave a comment on every blog along your way. You'll find plenty of inspiration throughout.

I chose the image called The Cape for my project. Vibrant red seems to suit this sweet little Pixie. I just hope she looks out for the Big Bad Wolf. Here's a close-up of the image:

I've created a house shaped card using my Cricut.

Now head on over to Melissa's Blog to continue the hop.

Digital Tuesday Challenge

See previous post for the winner of last week's Digital Tuesday Blog Hop giveaway.

This week
Robyn's Fetish is sponsoring the challenge. They are giving away 5 digi images or 4 digi images and 1 paper pack (winners choice).

This week's challenge theme is Welcome Little One. We are asking you to make a baby card. For my card I used 3 digital images: Cute litte baby, sentiment (The Cutting Cafe - Huge baby circle set and the clock background set). To customize the background and to add a little interest to the card, I printed it on kraft cardstock. I may try printing it on pink or light blue cardstock next time.

As you can see, I mixed and matched several different designer papers. It's nice to be able to use up some of my paper scraps- as it is a never ending pile. I hope you join in on the challenge this week. It never hurts to have a baby card around.

Seeing Polka Dots

Click HERE for the Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog Hop

Are you up for a challenge? How about a fun Pixie Dust Studio challenge? This week's theme is called "seeing polka dots" I used one of the new moonbeam images for my project this week.

I decided that this sweet little pixie needed blue hair. Don't you agree? She also looked like a gal that could not only handle polka dots but a cute little hounds tooth outfit as well.

Be sure to head on over to the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge blog to see the fabulous DT creations this week. They are truly amazing.

The sentiment is from a set called Beautiful Flowers Colored Set from The Cutting Cafe. The set includes 77 images. Wow!!! Lots to choose from and colored versions too.

If that's not enough to tempt you to head on over to The Cutting Cafe....how about a mention of several new sets currently available such as a book box template, bike printable sets, sentiment sets and so much more.

Home Run

I thought it was time to share another one of my tee-ball pages. The "A little dirt never hurt" quote came from the All ABout Boys set from the Cutting Cafe. I'm surprised that I've been using this set as much as I have, since I only have girls.

So many sets, so little time. If you haven't been to the Cutting Cafe lately be sure to take a peek. Lots of cute sets to work with. I'm in the process of making something with the It's about time set and can't wait to use the Let's go for a ride set. It is cute and it also comes with some fun sentiments.
