Pixie Dust - Sneak Peek

I thought I'd share a little sneak peek of one of the many Pixie Dust Studio images that will be available on December 2nd. They are adorable. This one is called Princess and Peek a Boo. I also thought it would be fun to crop the image for the sneak peek instead of cropping a card. The sentiment is from Bethany's Digi Word Art. She has lots and lots of sentiments to choose from. Be sure to check out tomorrow's post for the Digital Tuesday Challenge card especially if you like images from Mo's Digital Pencil.

Pick of the Litter

A little Whimsy goes a long way. For this card I used the Whimsy Dog and Sign along with the Whimsy Circle Postmark Sentiments. I wanted to do something different so I stamped the sentiments on white and really rust cardstock and layered them. That way I was able to create an interesting background for my card. Although my guest design team spot is coming to an end I do have a couple more projects to share over the next few weeks. I've been having a lot of fun with these wonderful stamps and can you believe that they aren't even digital?

Thank you - I can't say enough

This weeks challenge is "Thank You", simply make a Thank you card. Our sponsor this week is Penny from Penny's Creations who is offering the winner 5 of her digital images.

To be eligible to win all you need to do is make a card/project with this weeks theme. Remember to use at least one digital image. You can combine challenges if you wish but your card/project must be new. Please leave a direct link to your entry with Mr Linky on the Challenge Blog or
if you don't have a blog, you can upload to an online gallery using keyword DTC34. I used the Bear holding sign image from this week's sponsor. The circle sentiment is from none other than The Cutting Cafe. The printable sentiment is called Thank You - I can't say enough. The great thing about it, other than its only 99 cents is that you can size it to your needs. Great for circle punches or Nestabilities.

I really wanted to layer the elephant image but didn't have a large oval die. I need to get a set of them soon because I'm starting to like the oval shape. Those fabulous papers are from Sassafras Lass and My Minds Eye. Two of my favorites.

Just a litte notebook - Whimsy Stamps

Do you remember when Stampin Ups spiral punch was new in the catalog? Like most punches I just had to have it. I bought a couple of hard cover journal books at Hobby Lobby and decided to alter them for my girls. Here's Alyssa's (I still need to die cut her name on the front). I measured the journal and cut two sheets of paper (Bermuda Bay cardstock and a pre-made 8 X 8 scrapbook page) slightly larger in height. That way I could line up the spiral part and trim to make it fit. I used my spiral punch and punched along the side so I could slip it in the front of the journal. I decorated the first layer with my new Whimsy Stamp -Summer Day Emma and a Big Shot flower. Of course adding ribbon is a plus. The great thing is that it can be easily removed from this book to another.

Be sure to scroll down to see yesterday's post and a chance to win a 49 image printable stamp set from The Cutting Cafe.

O Christmas Tree -Giveaway

Here's a non-traditional color Christmas card I made with Regina's All About Christmas set which is a huge set (49 images) of printable stamps from The Cutting Cafe. You can see the entire set below. I decided to do something a little different so I combined two cards in one. The front of the card (see second picture for visual) is where the sentiment and writing will go. The very front is about 1.5 inches shorter than the back. Attached to this portion of the card is another card that will contain a picture pocket and a Christmas picture. Hopefully you'll see what I mean in the picture because for whatever reason I'm having a hard time to explain. I used my Eskimo Kisses pack from Basic Grey.

Now for the fun part. To win the All About Christmas set (seen below) all you have to do is leave a comment on this post and you will be entered into a random drawing. You have until midnight on November 14th.

Stamps: The Cutting Cafe- All About Christmas
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Textured Bazzill, White, Basic Grey - Eskimo Kisses DP

Sneak Peek - Birthday Wishes

It's time for the latest i {heart} papers sneak peek. This set is called Birthday Wishes. There are definitely some cute images in this one. I think they would make some fun gift tags. I decided to make a scrapling (3.5 X 5.5) for my first project with the set. That cool designer paper is from Sassafrass Lass and is called Harold and Friends. I just love the die cut bottom on it. It adds so much character to such a simple card. As you can see I'm still in my In Color phase. Bermuda Bay is my favorite new color and I just love that polka dot ribbon. It's hard not to put it on everything.

Ornament Shaped Card

Thanks to Regina at The Cutting Cafe I just love making shaped cards. Here's a really simple ornament shaped card. It was so easy to make. The template will work great for cards, tree ornaments and/or Christmas tags. I am thinking of adding photos and hanging them on the tree. I may have to make a handful of white ones so my girls can decorate.them. That would be a fun project.

Sniff, Sniff

The month of November will be a fun one. Of course there's what I like to call the Food Holiday which means extra time home with the family and the abundance of food. It also means that I am the Guest Designer for Whimsy Stamps. Their collection is growing and they have some great new releases. Here's a couple of them. The main image is Whimsy's Dog and Sign stamp and those cute little circle stamps are the Circle Postcard Sentiments. I've been using a lot of digital images (which I love) but it did feel good to get out the ink and get to stamping. More Whimsy in store later this month. Thanks Vicki for letting me know about the Saturday Spotlight Challenge, this does qualify.
