Best Friends

Here's a little something I made with my new digital stamp from The Greeting Farm. This is my first Anya. I didn't have much stamping time but really wanted to make a card with it so I went quick and simple. I also bought the Little Red Riding Hood one so I'm sure you'll be seeing that one before too long.

S.W.A.K.

I am finally getting around to posting my lip shaped card. I used my printable stamps from The Cutting Cafe of course. Since I used black as the card base my approach was a little different than normal. I printed the template out on white paper, cut out the template and traced the template (with a white crayon) onto black cardstock. I cut it out and used a sanding block to even out the edges. I used the coordinating template and printed it directly onto designer paper. To give it a little more character I drew dashes around the lips with my white gel pen. I added a little ribbon and that was it.

Valentine's Day Bag

Today's project is a Valentines Day treat bag using the template from The Cutting Cafe. Making this was way too easy. The first thing I did was mark a blank sheet of paper with the words top and right on it and printed out the template so I could see the orientation of the bag. That way I knew which way to cut my DP so that my words would be in the right direction. Then all I had to do was cut my paper to 8.5 X 11 and place it in the printer so that the cut and score lines would be on the inside of the bag. I cut along the darker lines and scored along the lighter lines. Then I taped and folded, embellished and the bag was done in no time. If you like this one you should see what the other design team members made with this set. Simply amazing. Click here to take a look.

Smoochies

OK I survived using Kraft CS yesterday *LOL* so I went back to my current comfort zone and made a Valentine's Day card. Don't worry I'll squeeze in a non Valentine card here and there. This time I used a Whipper Snapper image that I got from Wish Rak and used my Valentine Circle Words from The Cutting Cafe. In order to change things up I cut the out the circle word with my Nesties die and then cut out the middle circle so I could create a frame for the mouse. Oh before I forget there is a great special going on at the Cutting Cafe. You can get all the boxes and bags that TCC has to offer for $9.99. Just click here to see all the goodies.

Save the date

Here's my take on Splitcoaststampers Card Sketch Challenge SC200. You can see the sketch below. I love the black and red combination. I used my Valentine Circle Words printable set from The Cutting Cafe. I must say that having these circles at my disposal is sweet. The possibilities are endless. Of course I was working on a cute Valentine's Day gift bag and ended up making this instead. I'll be sure to post my little goodie bag(s) soon. I also thought I'd let you know that tomorrow's post has nothing to do with Valentines Day. Trying to squeeze one of those in every now and again.

Happy Hearts

Th Rubber Cafe DT was given a challenge to make a white card with a touch of red- no sponging or inking those edges either. I've always seen cards made with white bases and have always been in awe of them but this is my first one. There was a little resistance in the beginning. Then I got out my Spellbinders heart die and decided to go for it. I'm glad I did.

I heart U

I am still in the Valentine mode. Here's another card using The Rubber Cafe's stamps and Cosmo Cricket Paper. All ribbon and embellishments were from The Rubber Cafe. I bought the Hearts Spellbinders dies yesterday and just had to try it out. It definitely adds character and dimension to the card.

School Rocks!

Here's my take on yesterday's Splitcoaststampers Card Sketch Challenge (SC211). Its been forever since I've used my Riley stamps so I thought I'd break him out and show him some love. I was in a scramble late last night looking for school themed paper and this was what I found. I hope to take a better picture of it soon. I have been struggling with inside light lately.

Relax and Enjoy the Peace

This weeks Pink Papery Studios challenge was to take something ordinary and to make it great. Since I rarely (if ever) do altered items this was a true challenge. I couldn't decide what to alter- a notebook, paperclips, a frame- my head was spinning. I ended up rummaging through my old soap making supplies (yep I used to make homemade soap) and found the test tube for bath salts (I used to make those too) and this is what I ended up with. I remembered a tin I bought for candy and thought I'd turn it into a set.

Cupcake Kind of Day

Nothing says Happy Birthday like a yummy cupcake. This time I used The Cutting Cafe's new printable set called All About Cupcakes. Its one of the biggest sets to date and has various sizes of cupcakes and perfect sentiments to match. My goal is to get a jump on birthday cards (and
*ahem* Christmas cards) this year. I think this is the set that will help me out.

Love and Kisses

I hope no one is getting tired of my Valentines Day cards yet because I am having so much fun making them. This time I thought I'd try something a little different and chose more of a monotone color palette. I also wanted to make it old-fashioned yet hip if there is sort of a thing. The image is from C.C. Designs and those cute little hearts are from The Cutting Cafe.

Get Well Soon

Here's my Pink Papery Studios Weekly Challenge card. This week in order to ring in the New Year we had to use metallics on a card. Other than hardware I don't use metallics so my metallic element is subtle -just two little metallic pearls by Mark Richards (found at Hobby Lobby). Also check out that paper (polka dot, textured pink and green) its digital. I downloaded it from Shabby Princess. Since I have been under the weather these last few days I just had to make a bright and cheery card to celebrate my getting well.

Valentine

I'm in the mood for Valentines. I thought I'd share a card I made with The Cutting Cafe's printable stamps. The Be Mine Frame and Heart Shaped Balloon are from the recently released Valentine's sets and the word Valentine is from the Holiday Big words set. Since this is a stamp free card (in the traditional sense) it was quick and easy. It could also be designed and printed in bulk. Hmmm....I'm thinking school valentine cards for my girls. Handmade cards with ease. I think I'm on to something. There is also a buy one get one free sale going on from today until Sunday (January 4th- midnight). Happy shopping.
