More Unity

Here are three more projects using my new stamps from Unity Stamp Company. For a newly established stamp company they have a wide variety of sets to choose from and work well with various projects including scrapbooking. If you haven't seen what they have to offer what are you waiting for? Click on the above link and start shopping. You'll be glad you did. Now onto the projects:

Here's a simple Thank you card that can easily be adapted for numerous occassions.

Stamps: Unity Stamp Company- Plaid BG, Gratitude = Joy
Paper: Lovely Lilac, Basic Black, White
Ink: Almost Amethyst, Basic Black, SU Markers
Accessories: Black Grosgrain Ribbon

Keeping my promise to do more scrapbooking. Here's my second 8 X 8 page. All I need to do is add a little journaling. At this rate I'll have another scrapbook completed in no time.

Another card to display just how large the Unity Stamps are. I'm picturing another layout using this stamp especially since we are now spending more time outdoors.

Stamps: Unity Stamp Company- Wish, Plaid BG
Paper: Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie, Barely Banana, White
Ink: SU Markers, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Silver Brads, Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon

Believe in the Beauty

I have to admit that I am a scrabooker at heart although I do find myself making more cards these days. I decided to mix things up a bit and to gradually get back into scrapbooking so I decided to re-start on a smaller scale with 8 X 8 pages. I prefer 12 X 12 pages. The great thing about making smaller pages is that they can be done quickly and you'll have a completed album in no time. Just think of it as a big card.

Stamps: Unity Stamp Company
Paper: Bazzill Textured, White, Rose Red, DP from Denmark
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: SU Build a Brad

I recently made an 8 X 8 scrapbook page with the Unity Stamp Company's stamp set called Wish and wanted to creat a card version of the main image. Unlike the scrapbook page, to be posted later, I used my paper piercing tool to highlight the image (see below).

Stamps: Unity Stamp Company- Wish
Paper: Brilliant Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, White
Ink: Brilliant Blue
Accessories: Paper Piercing Tool, Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon

Here's a more detailed look at the paper piercing:

A Little Bamboo

Here's another card made with my Gratitude = Joy set from Unity Stamp Company. This card started a lot different than originally planned. I started out with a white piece of paper that was embossed with the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes Embossing Folder. I thought the white was too white so I stamped my image on it, sponged and sponged some more to give it a more natural look. I thought the main image needed to match so I duplicated the sponging to reduce the brightness of the white. I finished the card by adding a little hemp and dimensionals.

Stamps: Unity Stamp Company- Gratitude = Joy
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, White
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, SU Markers, Basic Black
Accessories: Distressed Stipes Embossing Folder, Natural Hemp, Dimensionals

Little Notebook

Here's a handy little project that is quick, easy and more important functional. It's a great notebook to doodle in or sketch on. This time I used one of the new singles from Unity Stamp Company. The singles are great for larger projects such as scrapbooking. I bought this notebook at Target a couple of months ago. It even has a pen and a stretchy bookmark. I thought they would make nice teacher gifts someday.

Stamps: Unity Stamp Company
Paper: Rose Red, Basic Black, American Crafts DP
Ink: Stazon Black, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Wire bound notebook, Turquoise and Pumpkin Pie Ribbon

Here's another quick card that I did for the Wish Rak Memorial Day challenge. I combined it with Splitcoaster's Card Sketch Challenge SC137. It was a really easy sketch to work with. I just kept it clean and simple. I may have to try this sketch again only adding additional layers and/or more intricate detailing.

Stamps: Penny Black, Unity Stamps
Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Reminsce, White
Ink: Basic Black, Garden Green
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, 5/8 inch Red Ribbon

Here's the Sketch:

Tractor Pull

Have you ever been to the Little Paper Shop? If you haven't you may want to take a look at the stamps that they have to offer. Doesn't the tractor look realistic? What a great masculine stamp. There's a cute little farm animal set and a fun construction set on their site, just to name a few. Definitely worth checking out.

I couldn't find the right patterned paper -I'm new to masculine cards remember-so I dug deep into the pile of unused stamps (I know you have them too) and created my own paper. To make the paper look aged I did a lot of sponging, I even sponged the hemp twine so it would match. I searched high and low but couldn't find the right sentiment for the card so I left that out for now. I really need to look into getting some word stamps. I couldn't even muster up a Happy Father's Day stamp. Sad I know.

Stamps: The Little Paper Shop, Club Scrap
Paper: Garden Green, Sahara Sand
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Chocolate Chip, Copic Marker
Accessories: Spareparts Brads, Natural Hemp, Sponge, Dimensionals

Surprise RAK

I was pleasantly suprised with a package today. It came from Cinman1964, a member of Splitcoaststampers Wish Rak group. If you are not familiar with the Random Act of Kindness forum click here.

Its an incredible forum that is filled with very generous and supportive people. I was fortunate enough to not only to receive an incredible number of stamped images but this lovely scrapbook as well. Brenda thanks so much for your generosity, I am amazed by it.

Here's the inside view along with the stamped images:

Simply Bamboo

Unity Stamp Company is having their first Thursday project challenge. Since I didn't have all of the supplies needed to officially enter the challenge I used my Unity Stamps to make a card anyway.

Stamps: Gratitude = Joy, Stampendous Texture Cube
Paper: Clear Vellum, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla, River Rock, Far East Mat Pack
Ink: SU markers, Old Olive
Accessories: Asian Coin, Cream Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals

Bee Thankful

This is my entry for the Gina K release sketch challenge #1. I have to say that its really not my favorite card by any means. The color combination isn't one that I would normally do and if it wasn't for that patterned paper I would have never thought of using those colors together. I couldn't find ribbon to match so if you look closely you'll see that it was actually made out of paper.

Stamps: Stampendous (WRAK Ohcrunch, Canvas
Paper: Real Red, Barely Banana, Ballet Blue (WRAK Mommapatti)

Miscellaneous Patterned Paper
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Silver Brad

For you

This card is my submission for the Gina K Designs release party sketch challenge # 3. A free stamp set is on the line here so I had to do it. Two more sketches to go!

This is a Penny Black image and its amazing just how many Hedgehogs there are and believe me they are all just as cute. The challenge for me was actually finding circle embellishments to match the card. I ended up using my circle punch and punching out the polka dots from the patterned paper. I added a silver brad and made them float with dimensionals. Tip: Punch the hole for the brads before punching out the circle and things will be much easier.

Stamps: Penny Black Hedgehog (WRAK Sgalley), Canvas
Paper: Cool Caribbean, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, The Paper Studio
Ink: Cool Caribbean
Accessories: Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Circle Punch, Silver Brads, Dimensionals

Fish Pond

I rarely make cards that are for the male gender. I suppose its because I have daughter's rather than sons. I decided to try my hand at another one (similiar to the Gone Fishing post). This was also my version of the SCS card sketch challenge (SC154). I would have liked the coloring of the image to be darker than it turned out and may experiment a bit more with it. Since I received the image from the Wish Rak group I only had this one image to work with.

Stamps: High Hopes, Magnolia, Embrace Life, Karen Foster snap-n-stamp
Paper: Sage Shadow, Basic Gray, K-ology DP
Ink: Versamark, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Prismacolor pencils, Gamsol, Dimensionals, Hemp Twine

Bloomin' Beautiful

This card was made with Stampin Up's Bloomin'Beautiful stamp set. I wanted the image to look like a packet of flower seeds so I added score lines in 1 inch increments before stamping the background image. I used chalk so the image would take on more of a worn look. I wanted to keep focus on the main image so I added a simple ribbon to complete the card.

Stamps: Bloomin' Beautiful, Sanded
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Textured Wild Wasabi, White
Ink: Stazon Black, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Distressing Tool, Organza Ribbon, Chalk, Dimensionals

More Unity

I don't know if you've heard but Unity Stamps is having a Weekly Monday Link up challenge. You simply design projects using Unity Stamps, upload them to the SCS gallery and link your creations to the correct post in the Unity Stamps forum. Angela will pick a project of the week and the winner will receive a $10 coupon from Unity Stamps.

There are several great cards linked so far. I thought I'd throw a few more into the mix. I wasn't about to let the fact that I only have one set of Unity stamps stop me from taking the plunge. I used two step stamping to create more muted colors for the one sheet wonder (OSW). Simply ink up your stamp, lightly stamp on a scrap piece of paper and stamp on your cardstock.

Stamps: Gratitude = Joy (Unity Stamps)
Paper: Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, White
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Morning Marigold
Accessories: Hodgepodge Hardware, Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Ribbon

Here are the other two:

Stamps: Gratitude = Joy (Unity Stamps), Full of Life (Stampin' Up)

Life is not a matter of...

This card's main image is from the set by Unity Stamps called Gratitude = Joy. I wanted to make a simple yet elegant card and I really like how this came together. I used the slot punch technique to make the scalloped border. I'd love to get my hands on the Nestabilities dies but since it will be awhile I'll have to come up with some creative ideas.

Stamps: Unity Stamps "Gratitude = Joy", Canvas BG, Penny Black (WRAK PepperRN)
Paper: Garden Green, Pretty in Pink, Pink Passion, Basic Grey "Sultry Collection"
Ink: Garden Green
Accessories: 5/8 inch Rose Red Ribbon, Paper Piercing Tool, Dimensionals

All Tuckered Out

This card started out as the weekly SCS challenge (Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red and Soft Sky). As you can see I started with the Soft Sky. Then I ran across a patterned paper that was a great color match and that was the end of the challenge. This card was made with a House Mouse stamp called "Bedtime Story" in the Gruffies Collection.

Stamps: House Mouse "Bedtime Story" (WRAK catcrazy)
Paper: Soft Sky. Close to Cocoa, Paper Pizazz "Retro" DP
Ink: Close to Cocoa

This is another quick and easy card to make with the Gratitude = Joy set by Unity Stamps.

I was lucky enough to win a free stamp set from " Unity Stamps". This set is called gratitude = joy. Its a nice set that includes word stamps and image stamps. I never seem to have the right sentiment so this set is perfect for me. The image sizes are great for cards and/or scrapbooking pages. I can't wait until I have some time to really play with this set.

Stamps: Gratitude=Joy - Unity Stamps
Paper: Almost Amethyst, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black, White
Ink: Almost Amethyst, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black, Versamark
Accessories: Slot punch, Striped SU ribbon

RAK Card

I received this wonderful card from a fellow Wish-Raker (Ohcrunch) on SCS. Thanks Dottie! It was a nice surprise not only to receive such a lovely card but wishes as well. I may have to wish for tulip images soon. Thanks for thinking of me.

Warmest Wishes

I bet he's saying "Wish you Were Here". This is Hammock Riley from Hanna Stamps. Since I don't have a true vacation coming up any time soon I thought I'd live through Riley for a day: Riley on vacation. So far he has been spotted relaxing in a hammock, fishing and swimming. What a lucky guy! I ended up digging out my brayer and glossy paper for this one. Its amazing what you can do with a re-inker and/or Spectrum pad.

Stamps: Hanna Stamps-Hammock Riley (WRAK JustPaintingAround), All Year Cheer I
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Glossy
Ink: Cool Caribbean, Green Spectrum Pad, Stazon Black
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, Rhinestone Brad, Misc. Flower, Dimensionals, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol

Gone Fishing

Another Riley the Moose card using Hanna Stamps. This card was made for the SC175 card sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers. See the sketch diagram below. I also wanted to make a masculine card for a change and thought that since I was still in my Riley mood, this image would be perfect. The card design is very different than what I am used to but it felt good to step out of my comfort zone. I wish I would have changed the dimension of the circle halves but since I only had a 6 X 6 scrap of patterned paper I didn't want to chance it.

Stamps: Hanna Stamps-Fishing Riley (WRAK dorworth), Magnolia Stamps-Tilda's sign (WRAK McBetty), Karen Foster Snap-N-Stamp
Paper: Old Olive, Ballet Blue (WRAK afancycat), Basic Black, Misc. DP (WRAK sbs81)
Ink: Stazon Black, VersaMark
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Natural Hemp

Here is the sketch:

Sweet Tilda

Tilda from Magnolia Stamps is adorable and a lot of fun to play with. I was a little intimated with all the coloring involved since I am still experimenting with Prismacolor Pencils and the Gamsol (odorless mineral spirits) technique but do like how it turned out. I'll just have to keep practicing :)

Stamps: Magnolia Stamps-Tilda (WRAK LMcAree). Paisley BG, Be Happy
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, Basic Grey- Sultry Collection
Ink: Rose Red, VersaMark
Accessories: SU Flirty Ribbon, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Dimensionals, Sponge

A Happy Hello

Its hard not to like Riley the Moose from Hanna Stamps. He leads a high profile life to say the least. I've been holding onto that fabric strip for years now. I thought the card needed a little something so I started rummaging around and came across a pile of fabric strips that I bought at a craft sale way back. Its a little weathered and beach-like. It adds a little texture to the card.

Stamps: Hanna Stamps-Swimmer Riley (WRAK Dorworth), All Year Cheer I
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black, Daisyd's -Scroll stripe-Ocean Line
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Sponge, Dimensionals, CB Embossing Folder-Bubbles (WRAK Cork1035), Miscellaneous Fabric
