It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas

I'm not a big fan of making small cards only because I don't think there is enough space to decorate *LOL* I cheated and made these 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches instead of the standard 3 X 3, which of course means I need to make custom envelopes or tuck them in as gift cards. I used both stamp sets Just Skating By and It's a Snow Day from i {heart} papers. I used my new Basic Grey pad called Eskimo Kisses again but added a Candy Cane ribbon.

Stamps: IHP - Just Skating By and It's a Snow Day
Paper: Garden Green, Real Red, White, Basic Grey - Eskimo Kisses
Accessories: Copics, Dimensionals, Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 3/8 inch Grosgrain Diagonal Stripes Red/White Ribbon (Candy Cane)

This card may look like it has a lot of things going on but really came together pretty quickly. I used my new Basic Grey pad called Eskimo Kisses and the Labels one Nestabilities that I just love. I have lots of other Nesties on my wish list and hope to add them to my collection soon. I have to say that it was a fun little scene to create.

I love you Beary much

Although its not my week to participate in the Squigglefly challenge I thought I'd share a Squigglefly card anyway. I couldn't remember what the challenge was this week when I made this so I just found a cute image and went with it. For those of you who do want to join in on the Squigglefly challenge today the challenge is to make a gate-fold card. Just head on over to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog to see what Kim's group came up with this week. Before I forget I thought I'd mention that my dh made me a light box yesterday. I went to an all day card making class and while I was gone he was taking care of the girls and shopping at Joann's for materials. What a sweetie. So how do you think he did?

Fall Harvest

Here's a fun fall card that I made with one of my October releases from KLM Digital Designs. I thought I should post the fall cards I made before our first snow -which won't be for a long time I hope. The designer paper is from Pink Paislee. It had 12 fall themed squares on it and I'm still using the bits and pieces of it. This adorable image is called Apple Picking Adam. That Burgundy Ribbon is from i {heart} papers. I just love it. I sure wish I would have ordered more of it.

Kiss the Cook

Regina at The Cutting Cafe has done it again. Do you have friends or family who are hard to shop for because they have everything? How about making them a themed gift basket? You know with just about everything you need to make an incredible dinner? Don't forget the wine. Or how about making a recipe box for your son or daughter who has moved away? That way they can still have home cooked meals just like mom used to make. A gift for your MIL? A new neighbor on the block? Well how about including an apron shaped card like the one below to tie it all together? I combined the apron shaped card set with the From the Kitchen set. I also altered a recipe box and cards (not shown) that I bought for $1 each. To make the box and the card I only needed one 12 X 12 sheet of designer paper. What a bargain!

Thanks-Giving

This week Rhonda's group of the Squigglefly team was asked to step up to a Thanksgiving challenge. The challenge was to make a Thanksgiving project and to use a Squigglefly sentiment. For the main image I used one of the new Shy Bears. This one is called Pilgrim Bear. I used the Thanks be God for His inexpressible gift for my sentiment. I just cropped the word Thanks and was good to go. I have to say that I really enjoy coloring the Shy Bear images. They are so cute and are super easy to color. Be sure to take a gander at the Squigglefly Challenge Blog cards for more Thanksgiving ideas.

Also be sure to check out i {heart} papers blog today to get all the scoop on this week's birthday bash. Great challenges and prizes to be won.

Boo! Digital Tuesday Challenge

Happy Tuesday! This week's Digital Tuesday Challenge we were asked to make a Halloween card. For me that's not much of a challenge since I love Halloween. Unfortunately my orange Copic marker went dry making this card so I paper pieced the pumpkins instead. It can't get any easier than that can it? The digital image I used is from KLM Digital Designs which is one of the 3 digital freebies they are offering. Stop on by and check them out. This week's sponsor is none other than Dustin Pike and he is giving away 3 digi's to the winner. He has some amazing new designs and manages to keep them coming. I like that about him :)

To have a chance to win just create a new project using at least one digital image and link it up to Mr. Linky here. You'll also find the details as well. Happy Crafting and thanks for stopping by.

Fall- To Do List

Have you seen Pilgrim Penny yet? Isn't she sweet? She's available at KLM Digital Designs and she's 100% digital. I thought I'd switch gears a bit so I made a couple of fall cards. I found a cute sheet of designer paper from Pink Paislee that had 12 fall themed squares on it. It sure did come in handy. In fact I'll be posting another card that I made that is featuring Apple Picking Adam also from KLM Digital Designs next week. Both images would make such cute place settings for Thanksgiving. Oh and don't you just love that Burgundy Ribbon? I know I do.

Trick or Treat - Giveaway

I heard that Pink Cat Studio came out with a line of digital stamps so of course I had to check it out. I even managed to pick up a few. Here's one of them. Of course I paired this one up with printable stamps from The Cutting Cafe. The October 31st sentiment is from the Halloween Black Squares set. I also used the Boo background printable stamp. Both work very well together. The treat bag was super easy to put together. The other halloween project is actually a little container to hold the treat bag. I used my Nestabilities Labels One to make the front and back and used black cardstock to make the sides.

Now for the giveaway. All you have to do to win both sets from The Cutting Cafe is to leave a comment on this post. I know there are many of us short on time so you have until October 9th at midnight to post your comment. I will pick a winner on Saturday the 10th. Good Luck!!

Birthday Fun

Rhonda challenged her Squigglefly group with a color challenge. We had to use pink and blue. The pink part was easy especially with the new IC Melon Mambo. Bright and oh so pink. I used one of the newly released shy bear images. Isn't he a cutie? What's even better is that the little bear is a breeze to color due to the way the image was drawn. Make sure you check out the Squigglefly blog to see what the other DT members came up with for this week's sketch. The sentiments came from The Cutting Cafe. The birthday was a portion of one of the sentiments in the Happy Birthday 40 Different Ways set and the Fun was cut out of the Halloween Long Border set.

Eat, Drink and Be Scary 2

I decided to take a card that I posted earlier this week and to tweak it. Usually I do this before posting it but lets just say I was inspired. The fun little spider image is from shirleys 2 girls and is called Spookies 1 SG 901. The star shape and the Eat, Drink and Be Scary Label are both from The Cutting Cafe. Besides that the weather here is not so nice so I wasn't able to take pictures of the new cards I made. Honestly I love the new look, don't you?
