School Days

I've had this card done week's ago and for whatever reason just didn't get around to posting it. I have to thank my friend Danni for this one since she sent me the Tilda image via Wish Rak. I keep on telling myself that I need to get some of these stamps and then some but the list is mighty long. Since I didn't have the right sentiment for the tag that Tilda is holding I printed off the thank you teacher clipboard image from Whimsie Doodles and used that instead. Then I decided to add another sentiment from the School Things set also from Whimsie to fill up some of the empty space. No clean and simple cards here *LOL*

Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda with tag, Whimsie Doodles- School Things and Thank you Teacher
Paper: Kraft (can you believe it?) Regal Rose, Soft Suede, White, SU DP, Carolyn Gavin DP
Accessories: Copics, Dimensionals, SU Ribbon, Nestabilities, Small SU Star Punch

Trick or Treat

Back to Halloween *LOL* Don't worry I'll run out of Halloween cards soon. At least its a break from all the pink I usually do. Here's another one of those cards that came together quickly due to the simplicity of it. I call this one my get my butt in gear project since it was done in an incredibly short amount of time. I used my Happy Halloween stamp set from i {heart} papers. Lots of cute images in the set. See that gorgeous paper in the background? I really didn't want to cover too much of that up. Its from Memory Box -Twilight Collection pad and can be found at IHP of course. Also if you are looking for some nestabilities dies you can find the Double Ended Tags nestabilities here and the Labels One nestabilites here. I used both of them in addition to my Key Tag punch from Stampin Up.

Stamps: IHP - Happy Halloween
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, White, Memory Box - Twilight Collection DP
Accessories: Copics, White Gel Pen, Dimensionals, SU Key Tag Punch, Nestabilites - Label One, Double Ended Tags, SU Striped Ribbon, SU Black Grosgrain Ribbon

Smell my feet

I had lots of fun with this cute image from C.C. Designs. You can probably tell when I get some cute new digi's. Seriously just pick a digi company and I'm sure I can list a ton of images that are on my wish list. Oh if only they were for free *LOL* This time I used two printable sets from The Cutting Cafe. I know you've seen the Halloween Labels one many times before. I printed out a sheet of images sometime ago and thought I'd use them up. That and I just love the sentiment. The other image is from the set called Halloween Card Borders. Lots of possibilities with that one.

Stamps: C.C Designs – Swiss Pixies –Heidi, The Cutting Café – Halloween Labels and Halloween Card Borders
Paper: Gable Green, Basic Black, Only Orange, GP 110 White, My Minds Eye- Boo to you DP

Eat, Drink and Be Scary

I thought I'd challenge myself to something different and this is what I ended up with. Although it is still in my running theme of Halloween I was hoping that it would be different enough to inspire you in some way. The fun little monster image is from i {heart} papers and is called Silly Monsters. I used Basic Grey -Granola brads for his eyes. Lets just say that the sentiment goes perfectly with those eyes. The star shape and the Eat, Drink and Be Scary Label are both from The Cutting Cafe.

Stamps: Silly Monsters - IHP, The Cutting Café – Shaped Cards set 1 – Star and Halloween Labels
Paper: SU Basic Black, Gable Green, Tangerine Tango, GP 110 White, S2G Bats and Cats Digital Paper, We R Memory Keepers – Black Out Halloween Collection, Sei – Eerie Alley DP, SU Ghostly Greetings DP
Accessories: American Crafts Ribbon, Dimensionals, CB Embossing Folder – Swiss Dots, Mark Richards Metallic Pearls, SU Orange Striped Ribbon, Granola Glazed Brads- Basic Grey

Here's one more card. I made this one for the SCS Sketch Challenge SC235 and used my Happy Halloween set from IHP. I think I went a little bat crazy. It gave me an excuse to use that Double Faced Faux Orange Suede Ribbon and My Mind's Eye - Candy Time paper again.

Just for You

I have to admit that I am having a blast making Halloween cards. I could easily make them all year round. Of course the C.C. Designs image wasn't really intended for Halloween, at least I don't think it was, but it was easily transformed into one. With black and gray hair she reminds me of Wednesday from the Muensters, only in a sweet kind of way. See that cute little circle sentiment? Its from a set called Halloween Labels from The Cutting Cafe. It would make great halloween treats for the kiddos. Looking at it I wish I would have added a pair of googlie eyes on it or maybe one big eye in the middle. Everything is better with googlie eyes, right? I do have a handful of Halloween projects to show you. If you aren't into Halloween (not sure how that is possible) hang in there I do have some non halloween cards coming up.

Stamps: C.C. Designs – Shy Kiki La Rule, The Cutting Café – Halloween Labels
Paper: SU Lavender Lace, Basic Black, GP 110 White, My Minds Eye – Eerie Alley DP, We R Memory Keepers DP

Boo! Its Twisted Thursday

Happy Thursday!! First let me say that you don't want to miss out on this week's Shirleys 2 Girls Twisted Thursday Challenge. We have one awesome sketch for you and a fun twist this week. Ready for the twist? You have to use Boo on your card. I sure hope you join in this week. I'd love to see what you come up with...so I challenge you to inspire me!!

Today's card was one that fortunately came together before my very eyes. I had limited time and a table full of scraps and images prepared ahead of time. I even had the circles made. Here are the deets on my card. I used two of my favorite halloween images from S2G. The first one is SG 907 Spooky House. Somehow it says halloween to me. I paired it up with the Spookies 1 SG 901 image. You can't go wrong with either one if you ask me. Oh yeah, I also used some scraps of digi paper from S2G called Bats and Cats. To join in on the fun all you have to do is create a card using this week's sketch (don't forget the twist!), and then head on over to the challenge blog and add the direct link to your project on Mr. Linky. Gallery submissions should have the keyword S2GSC26.

Stamps: Shirleys 2 Girls - SG 901 Spookies 1, SG 907 Spooky House
Paper: Gable Green, Basic Black, White, Tangerine Tango, S2G Cats and Bats digi paper, Adorn It DP

Monsters vs. Aliens

Here's a card I made with the newly released Silly Monsters set from i {heart} papers. When I saw this Back to the Future paper at IHP I just had to have at least a piece of it. Of course at the time I had no idea what I was going to do with it. After I got my new monster stamps I knew just what to do. Have fun with it of course! So I decided to replace a few key pieces of the Robot paper. I added a couple of screw brads and I was done. I wish it was always this easy. This is also for Splitcoaststampers CC224 Pacific Tango Summer Challenge. There are some yellow tones in the designer paper, not quite summer sun, but they are there.

Boo Did I scare you?

Since Halloween is 'My' holiday I have been busting out cards like crazy. Here's my favorite one so far. I used one of my C.C. Designs digital images called Heidi - Swiss Pixies. I think she's adorable. I actually made two cards with her but you'll have to wait awhile to see the other one. The Boo Did I scare you sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe and is included in the Halloween Labels printable set. You'll see more of that set later on as well. I can't lay all my cards out at once *LOL*

If you've missed the Hairy Birthday tin project using the Silly Monsters set click here. To show you just how cute they are I've attached pictures of the sets and included a Halloween Card. In addition to those great clear stamp sets I picked up a couple of other fabulous things from IHP like that Nestabilities Die set called Ribbon Tags Trio and a pack of Halloween Whimsy Glitter Paper. A Day at the Patch

Its always so much fun watching the kids run around the pumpkin patch in search of their ideal pumpkin so I made a pumpkin scrapbook for the event. The pumpkin shape is from The Cutting Cafe and is called A day at the patch. It's one of the 99 cents specials so you can't go wrong there. Printed as is, it measures approximately 5 X 6.5 inches which makes it great for layouts. Of course it can be re-sized to fit your needs. I paired it up with a newly released set called Autumn Days. The sentiment is actually two circle sentiments nestled in each other. Perfect fit too. I actually added an acetate layer and added the sentiment that way so I can make a pumpkin shaped scrapbook out of it. To make the pages I removed the inside lines of the pumpkin in Photoshop so I just had a pumpkin outline and kept it the same size so it would be seamless from the front. Since the pumpkin shape is so large it was a breeze to cut out by hand.

Stamps: The Cutting Cafe - Autumn Days, A day at the patch
Paper: White, SU Wild Wasabi DP, We R Memory Keepers DP

Hairy Birthday- Sneak Peek #1

Let me tell you, I had a lot of fun making this one. That and having to buy candy on top of it. It was a good day. The image is from another fabulous New Release coming soon from i {heart} papers and Chickengirl Designs. Lots of fun images to choose from. Lets just say that I've made a few projects with it already. I will of course be spreading them out each week so stay tuned. All the papers and ribbons you see are from i {heart} papers and to make it really easy for you I've attached the direct product links. I must warn you though, every time I take a gander at what Kate has to offer she always manages to have new stuff on the site. I love that about her. I've also been slowly accumulating new Nestabilities Dies so you'll be seeing a lot more of them.

Americana Apple

Ok I have to admit that I went a little over the top with this one. It started off pretty simple. Just an Americana apple from KLM Digital Designs. Then I added some red, white and blue. Then layer after layer after layer and that's when it began to get a little more complex. Well at least you know that I support America and the troops, right? And I can truly say that this was a first for me. I just had to post something patriotic on Sept. 11 th. Its still hard to believe what this date really means to millions of people around the world.

Digital Tuesday Challenge

Welcome to another fun Digital Tuesday Challenge! This week's challenge is all about the kids. Make a project using a teen/child/baby digital image! No company restrictions. Our sponsor this week is Cut It Out Paper Crafts! Lynda's was very generous to the DT this week and let us play with one of her images. and is also our Guest Designer this week! She makes incredible cards and omg can she color. I chose the image called Chad playing the guitar because it looked like a fun one. Besides I really wanted to get out of my comfort zone and to make a boy card. No pink here. Of course I added just a touch of ribbon but didn't think you'd notice with that funky new EK Success punch I just bought.

New i {heart} papers release

Just a quick note to let you know that i {heart} papers will be releasing some fun new stamp sets starting tomorrow. I can't give it away yet but they are cute! These little numbers are definitely my style and I've been having a lot of fun with them but you'll have to wait to see.

They are also introducing a new design line called The Petal Press, designed by Tracy Shultz. With that a new design team has been added. I haven't seen the designs yet but am super excited to see them. Both design teams will start posting sneak peeks this week and the full releases will be on September 16th. How exciting!!

Squigglefly Challenge

It's time for another Squigglefly Challenge. This week's rules were simple. Use a Squigglefly image, the colors red and green and two stars. I thought of this fun little image right away. I added a little more stars than needed but since they are so small and not the focal point of the card I didn't think anyone would mind. I kept this one simple since it is more of a boy type card so I didn't add anything to the bottom of it. I also added blue to the mix but its rare that I have an image that I can pair up with Brilliant Blue. I thought it would be a nice change from my usual pink cards. Don't forget to check out the Squigglefly Challenge Blog to see what everyone else came up with.

Make sure you scroll down to my last post to have a chance to win a free stamp set. I know you'll love it as much as I do.

Stamps: Squigglefly - Trick Rider
Paper: Brillant Blue, Real Red, White, Misc. DP Scrap
Accessories: Copics, CB Embossing Folder, American Crafts Ribbon, Dimensionals, Small Star Punch, SU Star Punch, White Gel Pen

KLM Designs September Release

I am happy to say that I have been created projects like crazy lately. It sure helps when they come together quickly. Here's a card using one of KLM Designs Digital Shop September Releases. It is a digital image which is of no surprise since the majority of my images these days are and its called Pumpkin Patch. I may have to make some Thanksgiving cards with this one. I dug in my SU scrap drawer for this one and found some great fall colors. This image does come with a Happy Harvest sentiment but I wanted to try something new and created my own using a CB Embossing Folder. I stamped it on white cut it out with a Spellbinder die and sponged it until it the word friend became visible. Doesn't that image scream Fall?

Paper: Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi, White, SU DP
