Gimme Hugs

I just love this adorable image from Bella Digi Studio. I even tried coloring blonde hair...just don't look too closely *LOL* I seriously "need" more Copics so I can work on different colors and shades of hair. Anyway, head on over to the Bella Digi Studio blog for the daily post. I'm sure you'll find something interesting there as well as an impromptu sale.

Digital Tuesday Challenge

Since we are full swing into summer this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge is to make a project that says summer. I'm not sure what it is but I have been doing more and more scrapbooking lately. I am slowly getting back into it by creating 8 X 8 pages and made a couple of 12 X 12 pages the other day. You'll have to wait a bit to see those...all I'll say is that they even have pictures. For this page I used the Floatie Mae image from Some Odd Girl that was released earlier this month. The cute little black and white arrow is from The Cutting Cafe. The set is called Assorted Arrows. Anyway, head on over to the Digital Tuesday Challenge blog for the deets and to see what the DT came up with this week. Cute stuff!

Happy Birthday Matey

I know its not that often but I do use colors other than pink. And sometimes I even make something that is suited for a boy *gasp* I've had this Pixie Dust Studio image "Jack Sparrow" for awhile now but never got around to using it. Then I remembered that I had a couple of The Cutting Cafe sets "Ahoy Matey" and "Pirates -Long Border" and just had to make something with them. I ended up with a 12 X 12 birthday scrapbook page. Pretty cute, huh?

Here's the lower portion of the page:

Love, Twilight Style

For a super cool Shimmer Challenge and scrapbook page click HERE!

The Pixie Dust Studio Challenge and Twilight theme continues. This week's challenge is a color combo which I know and love: Red, Black, White and/or Silver. Perfect for the cute couple seen below. And don't forget that the latest PDS release is today...now available for purchase HERE!

Stash Challenge - Make it Shimmer

Time for a super cool challenge with Some Odd Girl. The theme this time around is: Make it SHIMMER! Include some stuff that will add SPARKLE or SHINE! Of course Mermae is the perfect image for it too. It's not everyday that an image can pull off blue hair *LOL* I hope you enjoyed yesterday's sneak peek now here is the complete project. I also used some printable stamps from The Cutting Cafe on this one. The arrow is from the Assorted Arrows Set (over 45 images in this fun set), I love Summer Circle Word and Sentiment Stems and Flower Pots Set.

And here's the close up I shared yesterday. Unfortunately I took the picture before I sprayed it with Shimmer mist and added additional pearls.

I really hope you are able to take the Stash Challenge. I'd love to see how you can make it Shimmer. The deets and Mr. Linky can be found on the Some Odd Girl Challenge Blog.

Fun in the sun

This week's Digital Tuesday Challenge is to make an Easel Card. I thought I'd change it up a bit this time around so I used the sun shaped card and sentiment set from The Cutting Cafe. I also used the "fun in the sun" summer circle word and if that wasn't enough I topped it off with one of my favorite C.C. Designs images. The great thing about easel cards are that they may look complex but are really simple to do. This week's Digital Tuesday Sponsor is Robyn's Fetish and I can't begin to tell you how many digi's are available. OK I can....846! Wow! I sure hope you can play along this week. I also created this card for this week's Sentimental Sundays Challenge. The challenge is summertime (plus a sentiment). You can't get any closer to Summertime than the sun, can you?

Stamps: The Cutting Cafe -Sun Shaped Card, Summer Circle Words, C.C. Designs - Swiss Pixie Birgitta
Paper: Barely Banana, White, The Paper Studio, My Minds Eye
Accessories: Copics, Dimensionals, SU Circle Punch, Pearl Accents

It's a Showcase!

Click HERE for the Some ODD Girl Blog Hop!

It's my turn for a Townscrapper Showcase. I thought I'd show you one of the rubber stamps that Phebe carries in her shop. You can contact Phebe by email at info@townscrapper.com or by phone at 519-882-0623. The image I used is a C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie. Its called Nurse Nora. I've been seeing a lot of First Aid kits at the local stores so I thought I'd make one of my own using a box I've had what seems like forever. I think it was in the $1 section way back when. I wish I would have bought more of them. Anyway, head on over to the Townscrapper Blog to see what some of the other DT members came up with. The ones I have seen so far are awesome, you don't want to miss them.

It's a Blog Hop

Welcome to the FIRST Some Odd Girl Blog Hop! Allow us to take you on a journey thru the blogosphere showing you some inspirational projects and sneak peeks of the June 15th release!

If you came here from Robin's blog you are on the right track. If not head on over to the Some Odd Girl Challenge blog to start the hop.

To be eligible to win the complete June 15th release just make sure you post comments to all the Oddies blog hop posts. So why not be Odd? You have until 2pm EST on Sunday June 13th to be entered into the drawing. Good Luck and enjoy the hop.

Now onto my project. I ended up using the Fairy Fly Away Mae image (which will be released on June 15th) for my card. If you are really interested in some real fun check out SNR for the Some Odd Girls Digi Day today from 10 am to 2 pm. I'm talking challenges, a sale, a freebie and pure fun.

To continue the hop check out Robin's Blog.

And here's the hop order in case you forget your way:

1. Some Odd Girl
2. Leah
3. Robin
4. Shelly -YOU ARE HERE
5. Jen
6. Marcie
7. Ann
8. Kimmy
9. Kristy

Are you interested in becoming and Oddie? If so head click here for the deets of the Some Odd Girl DT call that is going on.

Digital images have a lot to offer when compared to their rubber counterparts. They store easily, can be resized and flipped and can save you a little $$. One of my favorite things to do with Digi's is to change the orientation of the image. In other words create a mirror image to fit my needs. Here's how:

Select and re-size image of choice. I tend to re-size my images to a height of 3.25 inches.

Then go to Image > Rotate Canvas > Flip Canvas Horizontal

You'll end up with this:

It's just as simple as that. Not only that but its like having two stamps in one. Thanks for joining in on the hop.

Happy Birthday!

We never seem to run out of birthday parties. You would think that I'd have lots of cards premade for those just in case occassions but I'm just not that organized. I am lucky that I have two daughters so the cards I make can be pink and girly. That does make it a little easier. It was an excuse to use one of my new Tiddly Inks images and I finally got around to using the Birthday celebration printable stamp from The Cutting Cafe. I printed out the background twice, once on white cardstock and once on pink cardstock. This card came together so quickly that I may have to use more background stamps in the near future. I think this background would make cute wrapping paper.

Save a Tree!

Here's my card for this week's Townscrapper Challenge. The theme is "Save a Tree" and the idea is to use paper scraps. For me that is not a challenge. I have a large drawer full of wonderful papers and I had a blast digging through it. I may have to dig in the pile every week just to get a handle on it. Check out the challenge blog for all the deets and I really hope you are inspired to Dig Deep *LOL*

The theme is simple: Punch it Out! All you need to do is dust off those punches and put them to good use. Justify that purchase *LOL* For my card I used the Oh Happy Day sentiment and the Happy Bug image.

Lots of crazy fun images are scheduled to be released over the next few months. Woo Hoo!! Here's a portion of the card I'll be sharing with you later this week. It is featuring Floatie Mae.

And here is a quick look at the newly released images:

Love is in the air

It's my turn to host this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge. The theme for this week is: "Lets Get Trendy" The challenge is simple - pick a trend (Retro, the 80's, a fashion trend, famous color combo, etc.) and create a project around that trend. This week we are proud to sponsor: Instyle Stamps.

What's up for grabs this week? How about a chance to win 4 digital images from In Style Stamps. For all the deets and Mr. Linky head on over to the challenge blog. You'll also find some very creative projects from the Design Team that you don't want to miss.

My trend for the challenge is Layering. I used the Ferris Wheel image along with an oldie but goodie Sitting Kaylee from In Style Stamps. The DT was generously offered to pick and image from the shop for our challenge this week.

Stamps: In Style Stamps - Sitting Kaylee, Ferris Wheel
Paper: Basic Black, Real Red, Bashful Blue, White, Misc. DP
