Fore!

I'm not sure how many times I've heard someone say how much they struggle making masculine cards. I know I do. But when I saw this cute little image from KLM Designs I just had to take the plunge. It's called Golf Buddy. It also comes with 3 sentiments so you can mix it up a bit. In fact all the KLM digital images come with sentiments. So the more stamp sets you have, the more ways to interchange sentiments. You gotta love that.

Also make sure you scroll down to see which Shirleys 2 Girls image is featured today and get the details on just how you can win Beach Maize.

Digital Tuesday Challenge #15

It's my turn to host this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge. This week's sponsor is the Character Cafe . The lucky winner this week will get to choose 3 digital images. How fun is that?

The challenge this week is called "Easy as 1,2,3"! You will need to use one (1) digital image, two (2) designer papers, and three (3) embellishments. The embellishments can be 3 of the same item, 3 different ones or any combination you can think of. To have a chance at winning the prize, all you have to do is make a card or other item with this theme in mind and head over to the Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog. Mr. Linky is waiting.

This week's card is using a very sweet image from KLM Designs. They have a nice variety of digital images and have some newly released ones that are worth checking out. If you visit my blog regularly you'll be sure to see what I am talking about because I just joined the KLM Design Team. How exciting is that? The image below is called Karah's Cupcake. Isn't she adorable? Since I love adding a little dimension I popped up her pink bow, the cupcake and the sentiment with a dimensional.

Stamps: KLM Designs - Karah's Cupcake
Paper: Rose Red, Chocolate Chip, White, My Minds Eye, Bo Bunny DP
Accessories: Copics, Dimensionals, White Gel Pen, Pearl Accents, 5/8 inch Rose Ribbon

Squigglefly's Challenge

This week we were asked to create a card that has one square, 1 circle, glitter and ribbon of our choice. I decided to add glitter only in the flower centers for a little dazzling effect. The flower vase image that I used is available at Squigglefly for 99 Cents. Now that is a price I am very comfortable with. The thank you sentiment is a computer generated one that I sized to fit SU's large oval punch. You can't tell by the picture but the flower vase was actually lightly outlined to make the image pop but unfortunately you have to see the card IRL to get the effect. You can see what the other DT members have done for this challenge by using the links on the sidebar or by simply going here.

Stamps: Squigglefly - Flower Vase
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, White, My Minds Eye DP
Accessories: Copics, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 5/8 inch Rose Red Ribbon, Dimensionals, Misc. Button, SU Copper Cord, SU Oval and Scalloped Oval Punch

DIGITAL TIP: Remember that you are not restricted to a particular image or sentiment size. In order to save time and paper determine what size image will work best for your project. Then re-size the image to best fit your needs. If you are planning to cut out any portion(s) of the image simply print out and additional image or two and it will be the exact size of the original image. Then cut to your heart's content.

I rarely make birthday cards for boys so I thought I'd try something a little different. The majority of elements are digital. The image is from the Space Mission set by Pollycraft, the cupcake paper is from Funky Fairy's Papercraft's and is called Cupcake Crazy Part 1, and that fun sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe - Happy Birthday Daughter printable set. This weeks Pollycraft's Challenge is to use arrows. I added a few just so I could play along.

My blog hop card features one of my favorite new images and is called Beach Baby. After making an ATC with it I was 'inspired' to make a larger version. This time I pulled out my Basic Grey papers and tried to make something not too pink or girly. To continue on with the hop head on over to Sue's blog.
