"Make a Gift Set"

This week's Digital Tuesday's Challenge is to create a gift set. I wasn't sure what type of gift set to make so I decided to make a Halloween Scrapbook Kit. I plan on adding to the kit in the next few days and hope to complete at least 2 scrapbook pages of the event.

This week's sponsor for the challenge is Fairy Knoll. They have a variety of digital images and also have a challenge blog as well. Scroll down to see pictures of my project as well as links to the products I used to create it.

Pretty Cool

Some Odd Girl is having a sketch challenge this week so I thought I'd play along even though I no longer design for them. I kind of miss my former Odd Girls. It gave me an excuse to use my Tiny Tia image. I just love how sweet she looks. I can't wait for more Tia's to be released. I think she is my new favorite. To see the sketch for this week's challenge head on over to the Some Odd Girl Challenge blog.

Rosey

Here's a quick card using Rosey from Fred She Said and some left over paper scraps. I can't seem to stop myself from digging into my scrap drawer. I am really starting to think that I should select a piece of designer paper and see how many cards I can make with it. Come to think of it that would be a fun challenge don't you think?

Halloween House

Lots of projects to share just no time to post them *LOL* I don't know about you but I LOVE halloween so I am very excited about Pixie Dust Studio's latest release called Fun House.

Here's a close-up of the Frankie's Bride image. She is so fun to color and to paper piece.

Here's the altered bird house. You'll just have to imagine a spooky background to go with it *LOL*

Happy Birthday!

This week's Digital Tuesday Challenge is to USE YOUR SCRAPS. We are asking you to dig into your pile or drawer of scraps and use up some of those bits and pieces that you haven't gotten around to yet. It's a great way to make use of what you have and to feel good about it. I'm slowly working through my pile.

My Grafico is our sponsor this week and they are offering 1 set plus 30% off in store to the lucky winner. They were especially generous and allowed the DT to use their Monkey Fun Set. Head on over to the Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog to see what the DT members came up with. That's also where you'll find Mr. Linky.

I miss you

I have to say that having pre-colored images can come in handy. Don't get me wrong, I love to color but sometimes I need a card quick and only have time to print and assemble. Here's one of those cards I made using the pre-colored blue pansies set from Fred She Said. It came together quickly and I was able to continue to use up more of my designer paper scraps.

I thought I'd share the Welcome Door Hanger for last Friday's Technique Friday at Bella Digi Studio. The technique was to use copics to custom color pearls. My project is featuring Little Loves - JillyBean and a Gimme a Hug sentiment. Be sure to check out the Technique Friday post (link above) for helpful tips when coloring your pearls.

Gnome World

It's time for another Pixie Dust Studio release and this one is begging to be paper pieced. The collection is called Gnome World and it is cute! For my project I used the Gnome Playing image. I decided to paper piece his little hat and coat since I've been making a lot of cards using designer paper odds and ends. If I continue to use paper scraps I'll have an empty drawer in about 5 years *LOL* Let's just say that I have lots and lots of scraps.

Here's the collection:

It's in the bag

Here's a Bella Digi Studio challenge for you. We are asking you to go 3D and make something other than a card. You've heard right, time to get those creative juices going. We dare you to make something different. Head on over to the Challenge Blog for all the deets, Mr. Linky and some DT eye candy. I decided to make a little purse for my project this week. The image is from Bella Digi Studio (of course) and is called Dreamy Alice. FYI: the image you will receive upon purchase has Alice facing the other way. I flipped the image in Photoshop. I guess you can say that I'm on a purse mission. I've been making purses for my oldest birthday goodie bags. I'll share those a little later as I don't want to ruin the surprise for her birthday guests. This is also for the following challenges: Dutch Dare Card Challenge. Of course its not a card but can easily be adapted to one, Creatalicious Challenge, Bee Crafty and Fairy Fun Friday Challenge.
