Time for another Shirleys 2 girls Sketch Challenge (see sketch below). This weeks twist is to add dimension. I think I can handle that one. I used one of the Shirleys 2 Girls newly released digital image -yep I'm hooked on digi stamps- called Good Garden DG10. The sentiment says "A good garden always has weeds." The contest ends on Sunday, May 3rd at midnight. You can find all the deets here as well as Mr. Linky so hurry and get creating. Just don't look too closely at my card and the sketch because I'm used my creative license on this one and changed it up a bit.
Stamps: Shirleys 2 Girls - DG10 Good Garden -digital image
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, White, DCWV DP
Accessories: Copics, Dimensionals, 5/8 inch Rose Ribbon, CB Embossing Folder
Here's the sketch that I loosely followed :)

Meet Brentwood - I Love _____
Have you seen this cute little owl yet? Meet Brentwood. I snatched him from JessicaLynnOriginal. If you still haven't tried digital stamps yet stop on by to grab this little cutie for a free download. You just have to be one of the first 200 people to grab it. Of course there are plenty more Brentwood images to choose from so be sure to check them out. And do you see that cute little I love you background? Well that is available from The Cutting Cafe. Just open, click and print. Of course you can also play with the font color, the size, or you can take the easy way out and print it on colored cardstock. Either way there are plenty of uses and you never have to worry about having inky fingers.

Digital Tuesday Challenge - sponsored by Dustin Pike
Today's card was made for today's Digital Tuesday Challenge. The theme is April Showers bring May flowers. I used last weeks Splitcoast sketch SC225 for my layout and used a digital image from the internet. I wanted to demonstrate that not only can you resize digital images to fit your needs but you can also use the paper piecing technique. The same rules apply this week: you may create anything you want, but you have to use at least one digital stamp on your project. (No company restriction!) This week Dustin Pike will be giving away 3 images of choice to one lucky winner. To have a chance at winning post a comment with a link to your card on the Digital Tuesday Challenge blog. Now go get digital.

Dance with me and a blog award
Here's one of the 5 cards that I made with Memory Maker's Chloe's Closet DP pad. I used one of the digital images from Grab a Doodle Do. I am drawn to things in 3's so I added a couple more dancers to my image before printing it out. I added a handful of buttons and that was it. Pure and simple.
Stamps: Grab a doodle do
Paper: Groovy Guava, So Saffron, White, MM Chloe's Closet DP
Accessories: Copics, Silver Cord, MM Buttons

Last but not least I wanted to share a very cool blog award that I received from Deb who is super talented. How many people do you know that make cards with beautiful photography?
To keep it going I nominate my fellow Wish Rakers because you keep me stocked with awesome images and give me the motivation to create.

Hey Slugger
I bought this digital stamp from The Greeting Farm awhile back and until today haven't finished a single card with it. I actually colored the image a couple of weeks ago and was feeling a bit lazy today and starting rummaging through my pre-colored stack of images. Sometimes when I don't have any creative juices flowing I just practice coloring. Sometimes that helps get me back in the swing of things. Of course I really prefer to color with my designer paper in mind. The pre-colored images can sit for awhile or go to my 5 year old so that she can make cards and stay out of my stuff *LOL*
Stamps: The Greeting Farm - Baseball Ian- digital, Hanna Stamps- Baseball Hanna
Paper: Bashful Blue, White, Bo Bunny DP, SU DP

Here's a Mother's Day card that I made using my new All about mom printable stamp set from The Cutting Cafe. This is one huge set (41 images). I just love all the sentiments it has. This set covers Mother's Day, Mom's Birthday, Thank you, etc. It is a great set. I used designer paper from My Minds Eye. Its slowly becoming my new favorite paper. I just love the colors and patterns. That and the fact that its usually double sided. More bang for you buck.

Shirley's 2 Girls 222 Challenge April 14, 2009 Starts at 2 pm cst. What can you win? $22 of Attitude Gratitude (short for free stamps!)
No template this week but you'll need to let your imagination go wild with COLOR using the color palette of lavenders, oranges, lime, black and white. Now let's go back to your childhood with this Nursery Rhyme! "Mary, Mary, quite contrary… how does your garden grow? With silver bells and cockle shells And pretty maids all in a row." More deets here. I used the digital image from Shirleys 2 Girls and The Cutting Cafe's shaped card template for my card base.
Here's a picture of the same card with a scalloped background. I'm not sure which version I like better so I thought I'd just include them both and let you decide.

The Pounce
Here's a Squigglefly card using my latest digital image called The Pounce. I really wanted to make him a Calico cat but didn't think I could pull it off. I still have a long way to go when it comes to coloring. Since the image was digital I was able to determine the size I wanted which is a great, great thing. Also for the month of May, Squigglefly will be releasing a new image each day. If you pre-order before May 1, you can get all 31 images for $30. Wow that's a lot of crafting. Just head on over and click on the One a Day in May banner. And if you aren't sure about going digital yet they do offer a cute hummingbird image for free.
