Squigglefly Challenge- ATC

This week's Squigglefly challenge was to make an ATC (Artist Trading Card). I used the image Beach Baby. For those of you who do not know ATC cards are generally 2.5 X 3.5 inches. Not much room to embellish so I struggled a bit. I did figure out a way to add ribbon and some pearls though.

A scrapbook page, yes it's true

OK I admit it, I scrapbook it's just a rare event. A friend of mine mentioned wanting scrapbook page kits for her daughter's birthday which is this weekend. I started off making page kits that they could put together easily. Then the scrapbook bug hit and I decided to make an 8 X 8 birthday album as well. I used Bazzill textured cardstock, My Minds Eye DP and K & C Company Stickers so that all the pages would easily coordinate. Here are a couple of pages. I'll try to post the remaining pages throughout the week. It took me a couple of hours but I managed to make 8 pages and 2 page kits. Not too bad especially since I am so rusty. So how did I do?

Digital Tuesday Challenge

It's Tuesday and that means its time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge. The sponsor this week is Squigglefly and they are giving away 3 of their wonderful digistamps to one lucky winner. This weeks theme is to **Use your scraps of paper** I know I have a few scraps laying around, don't you?

To have a chance at winning the prize, all you have to do is make a card or other item with this theme in mind and be sure to use a digital stamp somewhere on your project. Then add the link to your project on Mr. Linky on the DTC Blog. You don't have to have a blog to participate, just add the link to your card in an online gallery like SCS or PCP. You can use the keyword "DTC12" when uploading to a online gallery. Here's my card:

Friends are Flowers- Squigglefly Challenge

It's time for another Squigglefly challenge. This time we were asked to make a project using the "out of the box" technique. The idea is to have part of the image extending beyond the box or shape of the image. My card uses this technique but is very subtle. The idea for my out of the box is anything "outside" the rectangle of the window which includes a small portion of the flowers and the flower pot. I really wanted to use my new image from Squigglefly so this is what I ended up with. The image is called Pretty Window Box and the sentiment is Friends are Flowers in the Garden of Life. I think they pair up nicely.

# 1 Dad

Regina at The Cutting Cafe came out with another great Father's Day set. I used the tie template and one of the sentiments on my card. There is also a cool shirt and tie card template as well. Fun, fun, fun. And remember that this template would be great for Dad's birthday or uncle's for that matter. If you haven't been over there in awhile, now is the time. Also be sure to check out the DT call that is going on now. Regina is looking for 2-3 designers but time is running out.

A new blog in town

Please scroll down to see my first post of the day. It features an adorable turtle image that is available for a free download.

My oldest daughter (soon to be 6) asked me if she could have her own website so she could post pictures of her projects. A little unexpected I know. She has my blog listed in her favorites folder and is always checking to see what I've done and loves to look at the comments. She's constantly asking to use this punch or that paper and loves all things that sparkle. Since I'll do all the posting I thought I'd see how it goes and made her one. Feel free to check it out. Its called Mom's Little Shadow and if you have time please leave a little love she'll get such a big kick out of it. I just posted her first project. Thanks and happy crafting.
